Candles
I light this flame in memory dear,
A light to burn a hundred years.
Soft and steady, warm and bright,
It keeps your spirit close tonight and every night.
Through every season, calm or storm,
It flickers on, a steadfast warmth.
In days of laughter, nights of tears,
This flame will hold for all the years.
Though time may part us for a while,
One day I’ll walk that final mile—
And in that glow, I’ll find you there,
Beyond the dark, beyond the air.
So rest, dear Mum, and know this light
